Bach Barefoot by Organist Magne Orvik. World Class Virtuoso Release.

Expect to be amazed by this
world class virtuoso release! “BACH Barefoot” holds the most beautiful,
sensitive and powerful organ music imaginable. It is played by Norwegian organist Magne Orvik
on some of the finest organs in the world. The full package includes an ultra-thin 32 GigaByte USB-card with Full HD video and high-quality sound performances from Magne Orvik’s huge production. It is accompanied with a 92-page book with detailed description about the music and Magne Orvik’s own life experiences. Included are also two audio CD’s with music. One part covers Bach’s music while the other has music by other composers including some of his own works. Let’s see if it has good lungs. Magne Orvik explains and shows how he interprets
the music and what is it about playing with socks or barefoot? This shoe is specially designed for playing the organ. When I don’t need the heel, I often prefer to play without shoes. Yes, sometimes even without socks. Magne Orvik combines technical control with
musical sensitivity and is truly a master of multitasking. Surely, the most famous organ piece
ever is Bach’s D-minor toccata. The focus is primarily on Bach’s four major
toccatas and they are all completely different and require different approaches. Many organists play these pieces fast and very loud. But it is not ideal and they do not profit
from being drowned in sound and technique. By compiling them in one big cycle, they appear
as a grand symphony with varying rates. For Orvik the articulation and clarity
has been important, so that the richness of detail emerges. This package also includes some of Johann
Sebastian Bach’s incomparable chorale preludes. And finally, a couple of Magne Orvik’s
own compositions are added as an homage to the great master. To know more and to order the music, go to
